Tips & Resources
Purchasing a roof can be a daunting task after a natural disaster. Roofing companies come out of the woodwork knocking on your door, telemarketing, and sending you letters by mail attempting to sell you a roof. Holden Roofing has compiled a list of questions for you to ask your roofing contractor to help lessen the stress of selecting a roofer after a disaster. We feel that our qualifications are second to none in the roofing industry and would love the opportunity to earn your business and exceed your expectations.
It is common after a storm to see companies advertise “35 years experience”. What is not stated is that the 35 years experience is spread between 10 people at 2-4 years each. Ask any company coming to your home “How long has the company been in business.” This will protect you down the road when the time comes for any type of warranty work to be performed. The Holden family name has been recognized as one of the strongest names in the roofing industry since 1961.
We carry $2,000,000.00 in insurance for your protection, as a roofing contractor.
Holden Roofing has a long list of charitable contributions where we have given back to those in need. Holden Roofing has been a top buyer at the Fort Bend County live stockshow and rodeo, purchasing animals raised by students to provide scholarships for their college education. Holden Roofing has donated fishing trips to the Make a Wish Foundation, a program designed to give terminally ill children the opportunity to enjoy a day of offshore fishing. Holden Roofing has made a large donation to MD Anderson children’s ward by donating Sony Play station gaming units to each room. Holden Roofing sponsors children’s sports teams. As a past member of Aiken’s Army on Channel 2, Holden Roofing has also donated a number of free roofs to needy Houston residents and churches.

As a Platinum Preferred Contractor, Owens Corning stands behind their workmanship for 10 to 15 years, including all labor and materials. This is called the Platinum Promise Limited Warranty and only Platinum Preferred Contractors offer it. So don’t take chances with your next roofing job.

Holden Roofing, Inc. has been a household name in your area for 48 years. We feel that if you have lived in this area for a while, you probably know someone who has used our services. We have advertised by TV, radio, newspaper, and most local telephone books.
When you call our offices, you speak to a Holden Roofing representative, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, not an answering service.
Holden Roofing, Inc. specializes in roofing only. Many companies offer multiple trades; we will have roofers, and roofers only, installing your new roof, not siding installers or painters. We do have a number of good referrals to painters, concrete installers, and remodelers but they will not be installing your roof. Roofers specializing in roofing are the ones nailing your shingles.
We have approximately 400 installers, some of which have been roofing for over 30 years and most of them over 10 years. The average home in the area is a one day job. Hard to believe but when you do it every day you become very good at it.
We have over 50 hard working, responsible, well trained sales representatives to assure a response time that we feel is unbeatable. We strive to return calls immediately, even in the worst of weather situations.
The management staff is updated daily with material pricing. As you may know, shingles are made of asphalt (an oil based product). This is an important factor in the recent storm that hit your area. We have been informed that prices are expected to rise at an unbelievable rate, possibly on a weekly basis and shingle manufacturers have informed us that there could be a shortage of material. Our suppliers have committed a large quantity of shingles to us in the same colors as most of the homes in this area so we should not have trouble getting your shingles.
We hand nail all of our roofing jobs (NO AIR GUNS ALLOWED).
We are licensed and bonded in all areas required. We also handle all city or other building permits required.
Insurance company estimates can prove to be complicated at times. We can help take the guess work out of analyzing and understanding this paperwork. We have met 1000's of insurance adjusters and assisted 1000's of homeowners during the process of hail and wind claims. We are working on 100's of homeowners' insurance estimates now.
We offer a free hail or wind damage inspection and have already inspected 100's in the area. A qualified Holden Roofing project manager will come to your home and examine your roof for potential storm damage and make recommendations accordingly.
We magnetically sweep your yard and driveway, not saying you won't find a nail, but we will do our best to get as many as possible.
All jobs are inspected once completed and we will walk the job with you, if you wish.
We hope to hear from you and hope this helps out with choosing the contractor to install your new roof!
